Tuition and Financial Aid

PACE makes good financial sense for families with students who intend to pursue a two- or four-year degree, saving time and money.

Tuition

Dual enrollment students are responsible for ensuring payment of all HGTC tuition and textbook costs unless otherwise directed by your high school counselor or administration. If applicable, tuition payment is due upon receipt of HGTC bill mailed after the semester begins. Bills for any balance due will be mailed to the student’s address on file 6-8 weeks after the semester begins. PACE students can disregard all other college wide dates regarding payment deadlines.

All HGTC tuition and fees are subject to change without prior notification.

SC Lottery Tuition Assistance (LTA)

  • Students who are enrolled in a high school dual enrollment program must submit the FAFSA Waiver annually to be eligible for SC Lottery Tuition Assistance (LTA). The FAFSA Waiver can be found in the myHGTC Student portal. LTA is not based on financial need.
  • PACE students are eligible for SC Lottery Tuition Assistance (LTA), upon meeting qualifications set by the state and enrolling in a minimum of 6 credits (2 classes) per semester.
  • High School students prior to graduation may receive LTA, which does not affect the LIFE or Palmetto scholarships, which begin following the completion of high school.

Important Note: The grades of college courses completed in high school will affect your class standing and/or GPA and, therefore, will affect your eligibility for LIFE and other scholarships following graduation.
