Horry-Georgetown Technical College looks forward to welcoming families and friends to the next Commencement ceremony as we recognize and celebrate the academic achievements and lasting contributions that our students have made to the College.
Important Graduation Information:
The Spring Commencement Ceremony will take place at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on May 14, 2019.
Diplomas for Fall 2018 graduates may be picked up from the Registrar's office on the Conway Campus from February 18 - March 1, 2019. Office hours are Monday - Thursday 7:45 am - 5:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am - 12:30 pm. You must have a photo ID to pick up your diploma. If you choose to send someone to pick up your diploma, you must email the name of the individual to firstname.lastname@example.org permitting pick up. The individual must have a photo ID to pick up the diploma.
If you choose not to pick up your diploma, it will be mailed to the address on file beginning the week of March 4, 2019.
Reminder: Graduation Applications for Spring 2019 are DUE March 1, 2019. Please complete your Graduation Application, meet with your advisor, and submit it to the Registrar’s Office on the Conway Campus or the Admission’s Office on the Grand Strand/Georgetown Campuses.
For students who have already received their diploma, but are requesting a diploma reprint because they have lost their diploma or wish to have another copy, a Diploma Replacement Request Form must be completed and submitted with a $15 fee. It will take 2-3 weeks to process the request.
How to apply for graduation
1) First, confer with your academic advisor to review your progress toward program
completion and determine whether you have successfully completed all courses necessary
for your associate degree, diploma, or certificate. You can find your assigned academic
advisor on WaveNet.
2) Complete an HGTC Application for Graduation. Download the Graduation application or pick up a copy at the Registrar's Office on the Conway Campus or the Admissions Office on the Grand Strand and Georgetown Campuses.
3) Return application to the Registrar's Office on the Conway Campus or the Admissions Office on the Grand Strand and Georgetown Campus with a copy of your Degree Works requirements found through WaveNet.
