(Conway) CresCom Bank recently pledged $15,000 to support scholarships for Horry-Georgetown Technical College’s Technical Scholars program. The Technical Scholars program allows high school juniors and seniors to take college courses that count towards high school and college credit, and in turn allows for a smooth transition to college.

“CresCom Bank’s support of the HGTC Technical Scholars program is for the good of our local economy and families,” said CresCom Commercial Bank President J. Huggins. “For decades, HGTC has proven it understands the needs of the business community and the technical skills essential for our local work force. HGTC continues to fill these needs with quality training programs like the Technical Scholars program that lead to careers right here in our local community.”

“CresCom Bank’s commitment to our local community will impact the youth in Horry and Georgetown counties,” said HGTC President Dr. Marilyn Fore. “Our Technical Scholars program is a fantastic way for high schoolers to get a head start on their education and careers, and CresCom’s contribution will help even more young people achieve their goals sooner.”
