ABILITYWorks LogoHorry-Georgetown Technical College is proud to introduce ABILITYWorks, a workforce education program designed to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) gain the skills, confidence, and support needed to pursue meaningful employment.

Developed through South Carolina's Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) Workforce Pilot, ABILITYWorks provides a structured pathway from education to employment for adults ages 18 and older who have exited high school and meet eligibility criteria for intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Whether participants are exploring career options, developing workplace skills, or preparing to enter the workforce, ABILITYWorks offers the tools and support needed to take the next step toward a successful future.

What is ABILITYWorks?

ABILITYWorks is a cohort-based workforce readiness program that combines classroom instruction, hands-on learning, mentorship, and employment support to prepare participants for competitive, integrated employment opportunities.

The program focuses on developing fundamental workplace skills while helping participants build independence, confidence, and career readiness.

Participants receive instruction in:
