HGTC Email Account Access
As part of your enrollment at HGTC students will get access to an HGTC email account. As part of this account, the student will have access to Microsoft 365. This includes access to Outlook for email, OneDrive for file storage and Microsoft’s Office Suite. Students will have access to this account during their entire enrollment at HGTC.
What Happens to my Account once I graduate?
Once a student graduates, they will have access to their account for 4 semesters. After 4 semesters of non-enrollment, the account will be marked for deletion and removed. Prior being removed, the student will be notified and will be given time to backup any data.
Can I back up files I have saved in my OneDrive?
Yes, anything you have saved in OneDrive can be downloaded and saved on your computer. Click here for complete instructions on backing up OneDrive.
Can I back up emails I have in my HGTC email account?

What happens if I decide to re-enroll at HGTC?
If you’ve been enrolled at HGTC within the last 4 semesters, your existing email account will not be changed and you should still have access to all data. If you were not enrolled for more than 4 semesters, then the email account will need to be re-instated. You address will remain the same, however your data will no longer be in the account.
What happens if I’m no longer enrolled at HGTC?
If you’re no longer enrolled at HGTC, your account will be deleted after 4 semesters of a non-enrollment status.
I just received an email saying my account will be deleted. What do I do?
If you’ve received an email stating that your account is scheduled for deletion, this means you’ve been flagged as a non-enrolled student for 4 consecutive semesters. If this is in error, please reach out to the Registrar’s office. If you haven’t been enrolled at HGTC, and there is any data you’d like to save, you should follow the instructions above for backing up the data in your account.
