  Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is a two-year community/technical college that offers more than 70 associate degree, diploma, and certificate programs for students who are either seeking quick entry into the workforce or desiring to transfer to a senior institution to pursue a bachelor's degree.

Lincoln Electric®/Horry-Georgetown Technical College Partnership

We are pleased to announce our partnership with Lincoln Electric®, the world leader in arc welding products, robotic arc welding systems, plasma and oxy-fuel cutting equipment.

Students will train on state-of-the-art-equipment utilizing Lincoln’s complete line of educational welding products including;

Vrtex engage welding simulator
Aluminum Gas Metal arc welding machines
Gas tungsten arc welding machines
Shielded metal arc welding machines
Orbital Gas Tungsten arc welding machine
Robotic Gas metal arc welding machine

New Advanced Mnaufacturing Centers Coming to HGTC

Employers across South Carolina have expressed the difficulties in accessing a steady pipeline of these highly trained workers, and in response the industry demands, HGTC will be constructing two new 25,000 sq. ft. Advanced Manufacturing Centers over the next several years.

Conway Campus - Opening Fall 2017
The new 25,000 sq. ft. facility in Conway will be home to Advanced Welding, and The CNC Machine Tool Technologies Programs.

Georgetown Campus - Opening Summer 2019
The new 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Georgetown will be home to Advanced Welding, CNC Machine Tool, Robotics and the Mechantronics Programs.
