First Citizens Bank Pledges $10,000 to HGTC

Donation will support the construction of the Georgetown Center for Advanced Manufacturing.

(CONWAY) Feb. 14 – First Citizens Bank showed its support for growth in workforce development last week with a $10,000 pledge to Horry-Georgetown Technical College. This donation will go towards the construction of the new Georgetown Center for Advanced Manufacturing, a center that is projected to support more than $14 million in new capital investment in the community over the next five years.

On February 5, Will Howard, Grand Strand Market Executive and S.V.P, Sharon Bryant, Regional EVP, and Delane Stathes, Senior Business Development Officer presented the first installment of its pledge to HGTC President Marilyn Fore, and HGTC Foundation President/CEO Neyle Wilson.

“First Citizens Bank is excited about the opportunity to support HGTC’s vision of being a leader in workforce development through the opening of their Georgetown Center for Advanced Manufacturing,” said Will Howard. “Our bank has always been committed to the communities we serve and this transformational initiative very much aligns with our Forever First commitment.”

“The Georgetown Center for Advanced Manufacturing will have a tremendous impact on the lives of citizens in Georgetown County, an impact that would not be possible without the generous support of businesses like First Citizens Bank,” said HGTC President Fore.

Construction on the Georgetown Center for Advanced Manufacturing will begin this summer and be completed in the summer of 2019.
