Drone Training Program

Date: August 5-9, 2019

HGTC has partnered with CrossFlight Sky Solutions and their master instructors to expertly help you navigate and prepare for your FAA Part 107 certification. In addition to classroom training, you will also have access to an online support site which includes hundreds of practice questions.

Four different classes will be offered to accommodate your needs.

Course Days/Times: Monday through Friday from 8-5 p.m.

This five day training course is uniquely designed for any company or individual who wants to learn more about the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and prepare for commercial drone operations.

Monday- Wednesday (FAA Part 107 Preparation)

  • FAR 107 training and study materials (including access to our learning management system)
  • Efficient and fun test bank for preparation to take and pass the FAR 107 exam
  • CrossFlight Pilot flight binder with pre-flight checklists and risk mitigation
  • Crew resource management (CRM) and risk mitigation training
  • UAS program document templates basic hands-on flying
  • Basic hands-on flying

Thursday (Basic Hands-on Flying)

  • Applications for drones-sample deliverables
  • Basic flight controls
  • Drone navigation and communications links
  • Drone use best practices for pictures and video
  • Drone settings and software/firmware updates
  • Drone photo camera settings (basic)
  • Basic and advanced flying techniques and scenario based training

Friday (Advanced Hands-on Flying)

  • Applications for drones using autonomous flight-sample deliverables
  • Survey and mapping support- 2D, 3D image data capture
  • Basic flight controls vs. autonomous flight- RTH features, collision avoidance
  • Drone settings and software (DJI Advanced Waypoints, Litchi, Drone Deploy)
  • Drone settings and software/firmware updates
  • Flight programming and uses DJI Advanced Waypoints
  • Hands on autonomous mission scenarios

Cost: $995

Course Days/Times: Monday through Wednesday from 8-5 p.m.

This three-day training course is designed for any company or individual who wants to learn more about the UAS industry and prepare for commercial drone operations. If you’ve purchased the five-day training package, this three-day course is included.

This one-day course is a full day of basic flying with commercial drones. Includes DJI GO4 App walk-through, basic flying maneuvers, risk assessment, pre and post flight inspection and more. If you’ve purchased the five-day training package, this one day course is included.

We teach you more advanced flying skills including 2D mapping and 3D modeling. If you’ve purchased the five-day training package, this one day course is included.
