The Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) Foundation is excited to announce Southwest Splendor, its 2026 signature special event, presented by Anderson Brothers Bank. The upscale Southwestern-themed dinner will take place Friday, March 7, 2026, at the International Culinary Institute of Myrtle Beach, located on the HGTC Grand Strand Campus.
To support the event, Anderson Brothers Bank has committed to be the presenting sponsor at the $10,000 donor level. HGTC Foundation leaders recently joined Anderson Brothers Bank executives for a check presentation celebrating the partnership and the bank’s continued investment in student success.
Southwest Splendor will showcase the culinary talents of HGTC students and faculty while highlighting the hands-on learning experiences offered at the International Culinary Institute. Guests will enjoy a relaxed evening featuring upscale Southwestern-inspired cuisine paired with curated beverages.
Attendees are encouraged to embrace the theme by donning boots, jeans and cowboy hats for a distinctive dining experience that blends creativity, culture, and craftsmanship.
All proceeds from Southwest Splendor will benefit student scholarships and the HGTC Foundation Emergency Fund, helping students overcome unexpected financial challenges and continue their educational journeys.
“We are incredibly grateful to Anderson Brothers Bank for serving as the presenting sponsor of Southwest Splendor,” said Shannon Detzler, president and CEO of the HGTC Foundation. “Their generosity directly supports our students and strengthens the Foundation’s mission to remove barriers to education.”
The HGTC Foundation invites community members, business leaders, and supporters to participate in this premier evening of dining while making a meaningful impact on the lives of HGTC students.
There are a limited number of tickets still available. Interested parties may inquire at foundation@hgtc.com or by calling 843-477-2105.
The purpose of the HGTC Foundation is to raise funds to support the programs, services, and activities of Horry-Georgetown Technical College, its students and employees, and to create and strengthen positive relations between the College and the community.
