Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is proud to announce the grand opening of its expanded HGTC Pantry location on the Grand Strand Campus, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Monday, Nov. 10, at 3:30 p.m. in Building 200, Room 117, inside TECH Central. The event is part of the kick-off to the College’s annual “Chomp-Out Hunger” Food Drive Challenge, running from Nov. 3 through Dec. 12, 2025, to help fight food insecurity within the HGTC community.

The HGTC Pantry provides free, confidential access to nonperishable food, personal care, and household items for students, faculty, and staff in need. Located on all three campuses, Conway, Grand Strand, and Georgetown, the Pantry also connects visitors with community resources that promote health, education, and self-sufficiency.

“The HGTC Pantry is a reflection of our College’s mission to care for one another and ensure every student and employee has the support they need to succeed,” said Dr. Marilyn ‘Murph’ Fore, HGTC president. “We are so proud of how our faculty, staff, and students come together to serve others through this initiative.”
