HGTC to Host GSSM’s 2025 GoSciTech STEM Summer Camp

Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is hosting the South Carolina Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics (GSSM) 2025 GoSciTech Outreach Experience Summer STEM Camp on its Conway Campus, June 23-26, 2025. This immersive day camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily and is open to rising 6th through 8th grade students who are eager to explore exciting topics in science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on learning.

GoSciTech is GSSM’s premier summer outreach program, returning this year with day camps held at technical colleges throughout the state, in addition to residential and virtual options. These engaging day camps are designed to inspire South Carolina’s young minds and give middle school students direct access to real-world STEM activities in labs and classrooms.

"HGTC is proud to partner with GSSM to offer local students this unique opportunity to explore their interests in STEM,” said Dr. Marilyn "Murph" Fore, President of Horry-Georgetown Technical College. “We believe in the power of early engagement and are excited to help nurture the talents of tomorrow’s innovators and problem-solvers.”

The application deadline is May 15, 2025, and financial aid is available to help ensure accessibility for all interested students.
