Georgetown Open House July 10, 2025 HGTC to Host Georgetown Campus Open House July 10

Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) invites the community to a special Open House on Thursday, July 10, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the College’s Georgetown Campus, located at 4003 South Fraser Street, Georgetown, SC 29440.

The Open House offers prospective students, families, and community members an opportunity to explore the many degree and certificate programs available right in Georgetown. Attendees can tour the campus, meet with faculty and staff, and learn about career pathways in high-demand fields such as:

Electrocardiography (EKG)
Forestry & Wildlife Management
Health Science
Nursing
Nursing Assistant
Outboard Marine Technology
Patient Care
Residential HVAC
Welding

“The Georgetown Campus plays a vital role in supporting the workforce needs of Georgetown County and beyond,” said Dr. Marilyn "Murph" Fore, HGTC President. “We are proud to offer high-quality education and training opportunities close to home, and we look forward to welcoming the community to campus to see all that HGTC has to offer.”

In addition to exploring current program offerings, attendees will also have a chance to hear about the upcoming HGTC Marine Technology Institute of South Carolina, scheduled to open in 2026 — a major addition that will further expand educational and workforce training opportunities in Georgetown County.
