HGTC Nursing Students Surpass State and National NCLEX Pass Rates
Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is proud to announce that its Nursing graduates have once again achieved outstanding results on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for the third quarter, surpassing both state and national averages.
For the Registered Nurse (RN) exam, HGTC students earned a remarkable 96.85% pass rate, exceeding the South Carolina state average of 92.17% and the national average of 87.35%.
In the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) category, HGTC students achieved a 100% pass rate, outpacing the state average of 91.14% and the national average of 87.40%.
“These exceptional results are a direct reflection of our students’ dedication, the expertise of our faculty, and the College’s commitment to excellence in healthcare education,” said Dr. Marilyn “Murph” Fore, President of HGTC. “Our Nursing programs continue to prepare compassionate, highly skilled professionals who make a profound impact on the health and well-being of our communities.”
HGTC’s Nursing programs both the Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) and the Practical Nursing (PN) program are among the most sought-after in the region, known for the rigorous curriculum, state-of-the-art simulation labs, and strong clinical partnerships with healthcare providers across the Grand Strand and Pee Dee areas.
