HGTC Diagnostic Medical Sonography Students Offer FREE Ultrasounds to Expectant Mothers
Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is proud to offer a heartwarming and educational opportunity to expectant mothers in the Grand Strand and surrounding areas. As part of its hands-on learning experience, HGTC's Diagnostic Medical Sonography students are providing FREE non-diagnostic Obstetrics (OB) ultrasound sessions during the fall semester.
These complimentary sessions are open to women who are over 20 weeks pregnant and have already received a fetal anatomy scan from their primary physician. The sessions will be held at the HGTC OB Ultrasound Clinic, located on the Grand Strand Campus in Building 1000, Room 1147, on the following dates:
- September 23, 25, and 30
- October 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 21, 23, 28, and 30
- November 3, 6, 10, 13, 18, and 20
Three participants will be scheduled each day.
Appointments are available each day:
9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Expectant mothers will enjoy a unique chance to see their baby in real time, while HGTC sonography students, under the close supervision of certified instructors, refine their scanning skills on state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment. Participants will leave with digital images of their ultrasound session. Printed copies are not provided.
