There is an annual distribution of $6,500 and an additional one-time distribution of $10,000 from the American Rescue Plan Act. SC Endeavors is the professional development system for South Carolina’s early childhood workforce. The mission is to support the continuous growth and improvement of early education programs and professionals to create positive outcomes for young children and their families in South Carolina. The overall purpose of the partnership is to improve and enhance the Early Care and Education Department at HGTC.

“HGTC is committed to serving the needs of students pursuing their formal education in the field of Early Care and Teacher Education. We appreciate the additional funding from SC Endeavors to support students, faculty, and the department through materials, equipment, professional development, and more,” said Becky Hubbard, HGTC Chair of the Teacher Education Department and Professor of Education.

“SC Endeavors and HGTC have a long-standing history and have been working together for many years to advance our mission. HGTC has been a leader in the community, and together we are improving the quality of childcare for young children and families in South Carolina. We are proud of the partnership and look forward to working with HGTC as we continue recruiting, retaining, and supporting the career and education pathway of students interested in studying early childhood or advancing their career options through further education for many years to come,” said Melissa Starker, Director for SC Endeavors.
