HGTC Announces Pre-Professional Pathways for Transfer Students
HGTC has developed pathway programs for students to take courses directly related to goals.
Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) recently announced pre-professional pathways for new and existing students. Students
interested in transferring to a four-year institution can now select a specific concentration,
like Associate in Arts pre-business, pre-law, pre-psychology, or Associate in Science
pre-medicine, pre-marine science, pre-engineering. These pathways help students prepare
for future careers by taking courses directly related to educational goals while earning
an associate degree and transferring credits to a four-year institution.
Students can also participate in the 15 to Finish program, an academic initiative designed to save students time when it comes to degree completion. In doing so, students can complete an Associate in Arts or Science degree in just four semesters instead of five.
