HGTC Students in Health Sciences Eligible for McLeod Health Scholarships
Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) is excited to announce that scholarships are now available for students in health science programs offered through McLeod Health.
McLeod is recruiting motivated students whose core values align with those of McLeod to work at one of their eight locations following the completion of their academic programs. Scholarship awards will begin with the upcoming semester. The open application period is March 1- April 30, 2021 for students to receive the scholarship award in the fall. All requested information must be submitted prior to the deadline to receive scholarship consideration.
“The McLeod Health scholarship program is a great opportunity for our students to receive assistance and prepare for their careers. This is a perfect example of the way our community embraces HGTC students,” said Dr. Marilyn Murphy Fore, HGTC President.
Scholarships are available for tuition only with amounts varying in respect to area of study.
“McLeod Health wants to assist students in attaining their healthcare career goals. The purpose of the McLeod Health Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance to students who have been accepted into an approved program of study in an identified healthcare employment area of need,” said April Kirven, McLeod Health HR Specialist and Scholarship Coordinator.
