HGTC uses technology to help train students for the workforce

As new technology impacts the workforce, it also moves to the classroom. Thursday, we got a sneak peak of the visualization center at Horry-Georgetown Technical College in Myrtle Beach.

The Center has tons of cool features including a touch screen and the ability to write on the screen, like a white board. The virtual learning tool aims to set up students to be better prepared following graduation.

"Students leaving here to go to the workforce, they can take a new technology to the workforce that they are already trained on," said Peggy Saylor, library, learning and service support for HGTC.

A grant from the Chapin Foundation helped pay for the visualization center.
