Executives from Boeing South Carolina spent the day Boeing dayrecently in Horry County, where they visited public schools and held a community forum at Horry-Georgetown Technical College. HGTC is preparing to build an Advanced Manufacturing Center to train workers for industrial jobs. Frank Hatten and Jessica Jackson from Boeing South Carolina presented an overview of the company, its mission and employment opportunities.

Local leaders, students and elected officials attended. The evening ended with special presentations from two local artists, Robert Sadlemire and Thomas Davis, who delivered their interpretations of the Boeing Dreamliner 787. Officials from HGTC, South Carolina Department of Commerce, Regional Workforce Advisor, Horry County Schools, Coastal Carolina University and PIA participated.
