The HGTC Student Veterans Organization presented a check recently for $1000 to Brad Jordan, the executive director for the local Veterans Housing Development Corporation.  The funds were raised by HGTC students as a way to support efforts in building houses for homeless veterans in this area.

The HGTC Student Veterans Organization is open for student veterans who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. The goal of the organization is to provide a place for veterans to connect, ease their transition from combat to college, access resources and enjoy peer support and camaraderie. The Organization invites representatives from the local community and special guest speakers to educate the members about resources available to them and their families and is committed to giving back to the community by fund raising and participating in charity events.
