The SSTC provides peer and professional academic coaches who are recommended by faculty to provide tutoring/academic assistance and coaching in most of the major academic subjects at HGTC. We highly recommend that you schedule appointments 1-3 days in advance through our scheduling system (TutorTrac) to ensure assistance. TutorTrac is located in WaveNet on the Student Services tab. Please feel free to drop into any Center to check availabilities if you were unable to schedule an appointment. Oftentimes, we may have someone available to assist you!

During your session, the academic coaches will prompt you to:

• Think actively
• Practice ungraded problems or activities
• Fine-tune specific college success skills
• Discuss your thoughts about your assignments and tutoring needs

Please come prepared with a copy of assignment instructions and to discuss any work attempted or completed.

If you need assistance using TutorTrac to make an appointment, please see the TutorTrac directions on WaveNet, visit the SSTC, or email sstc@hgtc.edu. Should you not find an available slot with an academic coach, contact us immediately

Math Centers are provided at Conway and Grand Strand campuses where you can drop in to the SSTC during the hours posted to receive assistance - no appointment necessary! The Math Centers are located in the SSTC and staffed with Math Faculty Volunteers.

View the hours of operation by logging into your TutorTrac account, and searching for your math course and selecting Math Center as your reason. You may also view the hours of operation on the HGTC Events calendar.

In addition to dropping in to the Math Center at Conway or Grand Strand, you may also schedule one-on-one or group appointments with our Math Coaches in the SSTC, log into your Student Services tab in WaveNet to access TutorTrac to schedule those appointments today!
