College Costs and Financial Aid
The Office of Student Financial Aid at Horry Georgetown Technical College seeks to
provide assistance to anyone who demonstrates financial need and has a desire to attend
The responsibility for meeting college costs lies primarily with the student and the student's family. However, when a student and/or student's family meets its financial responsibility to the extent of its ability, HGTC seeks to provide assistance for remaining need to the extent of available funding.
Types of Financial Aid and Scholarships
Financial assistance is available through a variety of programs and sources. All financial-assistance programs require the completion and submission of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), plus the submission of all documentation required by the HGTC Financial Aid Office. All financial aid is awarded without regard to race, color, sex, age, religion, national origin, disability, or other individual distinction.
