Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) proudly announces Alpha Nu Sigma Chapter's Honors in Action team has achieved a remarkable feat. Their project, titled "Play and Learning 4 Adults and Youth (PLAY)," has been selected as one of the 18 articles to be featured in the upcoming 2023 edition of Civic Scholar: Phi Theta Kappa Journal of Undergraduate Research.

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) is renowned for its commitment to recognizing and celebrating outstanding undergraduate research conducted by community college students. Out of 396 submissions, the HGTC Alpha Nu Sigma Chapter's project has been chosen to be a part of this prestigious publication, highlighting the exceptional caliber of work undertaken by HGTC's scholars.

"Play and Learning 4 Adults and Youth (PLAY)" represents the dedication and scholarly achievement of the HGTC Alpha Nu Sigma Chapter's Honors in Action team. The project showcases their innovative approach to play-based learning, which has the potential to make a significant impact on both adults and youth.

Dr. Susan Edwards, Associate Vice President of Honors Programming and Undergraduate Research at Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, expressed her admiration, stating, "Congratulations again to the entire HGTC Alpha Nu Sigma team! Your work inspires us and highlights the extraordinary work done by PTK members."
