Academic Advising

Horry-Georgetown Technical College

Academic Advising

New and continuing students are assigned a staff academic advisor and a faculty academic advisor upon admission. Academic advisors assist all students in selecting their major, registering for courses, developing an academic plan, and recommending student support services. Staff and Faculty academic advisors work together to help students set goals, develop a clear path for graduation, and access sources of support. Academic Advisor assignments can be located in DegreeWorks.

Please note: Faculty advisors are available for advisement during their scheduled office hours which are posted on their office door. Please email your Faculty Advisor listed in DegreeWorks to schedule an appointment.
