College Paperwork Help Available for College-Bound Students
Need help filling out financial aid paperwork for college? Get it free through College Goal SC on Feb. 19 or Feb. 28. Free help is available from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thur., Feb. 19, in the administration building on the Georgetown Campus of Horry-Georgetown Technical College or from 9 a.m. until 12 Noon, Sat. Feb. 28, in the main lobby and WaveNet Central of the 1100 Building on the HGTC Conway Campus.
Students should bring the following: the applicant’s social security number or alien registration number if not a US citizen; most recent federal income tax returns, along with W-2s and other records of money earned; bank statements and records of investments; records of untaxed income and a federal student aid PIN to sign electronically. College Goal South Carolina is a free event designed to help college-bound students and their families with the financial aid application process. Financial aid professionals will be on hand to help complete the necessary paperwork to get the qualified funding for college. Students should attend College Goal S.C. if they are high school seniors considering education after graduation. Parents are also welcome.
