Become South Carolina Manufacturing Certified
The Certified Production Technician (CPTAE) certification addresses the core technical competencies of higher skilled production workers in all sectors of manufacturing. Through successful completion of the CPT certification, graduates will be qualified as front-line production workers in entry-level through front-line supervisor jobs.
The goal of the CPT certification program is to raise the level of performance of production workers both to assist the individuals in finding higher-wage jobs and to help employers ensure their workforce increases the company’s productivity and competitiveness. Certification by the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC), the leader in the industry, lets employers know your skills are the ones they need. Many firms are hiring now. Get the training you need for a career in this growing field – at no cost to you.
The CPT program consists of four individual certificate modules:
- Quality Practices & Measurement
- Manufacturing Processes & Production
- Maintenance Awareness
*Candidates must earn the first four certificates to receive the full CPT certification.
To qualify for the training scholarship, applicants should be unemployed or underemployed and looking to start a career in advanced manufacturing. They must complete a drug and background check, earn a Silver or better on WorkKeys testing, submit proof of earning a GED or high school diploma, and be committed to the program for six to eight weeks.
