Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial Technologies

Manufacturing and Industrial Technologies Horry and Georgetown counties are experiencing new interest for various types of new and growing business and industry. This growth can mean successful careers, good paying jobs in the local area in service, production and manufacturing industries.

Services careers, such as Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning and production careers, such as Machine Tool Technology and Welding, have changed due to the infusion of computer technology for controls, accuracy and precision

HGTC offers programs of study to prepare students to fill these jobs through classroom and hands-on instruction.  Students work with industry-grade equipment, taught by expert and experienced faculty.  Classes are offered in flexible schedules, with both day and evening classes.  Graduates are eligible for manufacturing certifications and the opportunity to earn competitive salaries. These practical, hands-on programs allow students to enter the work force after just two years or to pursue a bachelor's degree at a senior institution.
