Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial Technologies Programs

Horry and Georgetown counties are experiencing new interest for various types of new and growing business and industry. This growth can mean successful careers, high-paying jobs in the local area in service, production and manufacturing industries in South Carolina. 

Service careers, such as Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning (HVAC) and production careers, such as Machine Tool Technology, CNC and Welding, have changed due to the infusion of computer technology for controls, accuracy and precision.

New Advanced Manufacturing Centers at HGTC

In response to industry demands, HGTC has constructed a new 25,000 sq. ft. Advanced Manufacturing Center in Horry County and a new 30,000 sq. ft.  location in Georgetown County.

Programs Offered

HGTC offers programs of study to prepare students to fill these jobs through classroom and hands-on instruction.  Students work with industry-grade equipment, taught by expert and experienced faculty.  Classes are offered in flexible schedules, with both day and evening classes.  Graduates are eligible for manufacturing certifications and the opportunity to earn competitive salaries. These practical, hands-on programs allow students to enter the work force after just two years or to pursue a bachelor's degree at a senior institution.
