Alpha Nu Sigma, the HGTC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa

was recognized this past weekend at the Carolinas Regional Convention in Charleston, SC with the following awards:
  • 1st Runner-up to Most Distinguished Chapter (making us the #2 chapter out of 84 chapters in North and South Carolina and the only chapter from South Carolina in the top 3)
  • Beta Tau Continued Excellence Award (this is for being in the top 3 for at least 3 consecutive years)
  • Distinguished College Project (for our work with new student orientations and COL105 visits)
  • Distinguished Honors in Action Project (for our research and work with Miracle League)
  • Best Honors in Action Project for Theme 2, Sports and Competition
  • Distinguished Member (and Hall of Honor) – Kristleena Keller
  • Distinguished Chapter Officers (and Hall of Honor) – Kelly Botoulas and Cynthia Lomax
  • Continued Excellence Award for Advisors – Beth Carraway
  • Carolinas Region Service Project Award (for our annual Christmas party for the Seacoast Youth Academy children)
